| My love affair with wings |
- 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Ingredients
- Half dozen chicken wings, chopped into 3 parts each
- 4 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 4 tbs light soy sauce
- 4 tbs honey
- 4 tbs rice vinegar
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1 tbs olive oil (for grilling)
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl (except sesame seeds) and coat each wing with the marinade. Store in Ziploc bag and refrigerate overnight for best flavour, or at least for 2 hours
- Oil a grill pan with 1 tbs olive oil on medium-high heat
- Grill each side of the wings and turn every 2 minutes, lower the heat to avoid charring the wings
- Baste the remaining marinade to wings while grilling, for that extra stickiness!
- Sesame seeds char easily so sprinkle when wings are almost cooked
