Mulled Spice Poached Pears With Warm Chocolate Sauce

Mulled spice Poached Pears
Drizzle and drool!
Spice
  • 2 tbs mulling spice
Ingredients
  • 3 pears (Forelle or any small-size pears), peeled
  • 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
Chocolate Sauce
  • ½ cup baking chocolate droplets (or shavings)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp honey 

Directions
  1. Fit pears snugly in pot and fill with water just enough to cover all 3
  2. Add mulling spice and lemon juice to the pot on medium heat
  3. At boiling point, turn heat down to low and let simmer for another 15 minutes
  4. Place chocolate droplets in a microwavable bowl and pop in the microwave for 1 minute
  5. Heat heavy cream and honey on a sauce pan and bring it to a strong simmer
  6. Stir in melted chocolate and set aside to cool for 10 minutes. Whisk the mixture slowly until smooth
  7. Drizzle warm chocolate sauce over the pears and indulge :)
